About
Casegoods are the still furniture of a room — the dressers, credenzas, nightstands and wardrobes that hold a space together without asking for attention. They are built, not upholstered. Their beauty lives in proportion, grain, and the honesty of their joinery.
Tradewinds is the marine and export arm of Guangdong Xinjia Home Group, which started life in 1993 as the Jintai woodworking factory in Foshan. Since then the group has furnished Four Seasons and MUJI Hotel properties, refitted the public areas of China's first flagged luxury cruise ship, and delivered 536 cabins for the largest ro-pax ferry ever built.
The factory still sits on Xinxing Road in Lishui. The drawers still get opened ten thousand times before we ship them.

四つの原則
Four Principles
Sozai · Honest Materials
A casegood begins long before the workshop — in the selection of timber, veneer, and core. We match grain across drawer fronts, season materials for their destination climate, and certify every marine component to IMO standard.
Nothing is hidden. What the surface promises, the substrate keeps.
Shikuchi · Joinery
The strength of a cabinet lives at its corners. Our joinery is engineered for movement — the flexing of a ship at sea, the shifting humidity of a beach resort, the ten-thousandth closing of a hotel drawer.
A joint done well is invisible. A joint done poorly announces itself for years.
Shiage · Finish
Finish is where a casegood meets the human hand. Edges are softened just enough. Lacquer is built in thin, patient coats. Hardware is chosen for its weight and its sound as much as its look.
The goal is not gloss. The goal is a surface that invites touch and survives it.
Taikyū · Endurance
We build for the tenth year, not the first. Every casegood is tested against the life it will actually live — salt air, luggage corners, cleaning chemicals, and time itself.
Furniture that endures becomes part of a place. That is the quiet ambition of everything we make.
良い家具は、静かに役に立つ。
Good furniture serves quietly.
